Tech Zone was created to highlight the different technologies we use here at MITIS.

MITIS Heath is a vendor agnostic IT healthcare provider within the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure vertical. Our prime goal is to offer the best product, 100% tailor fitted for each and every one of our Healthcare customers. We do this by aligning ourselves to your own corporate IT strategy by conducting technical workshops, interviewing key stakeholders and by finding out where you want to be and help you get there. 

We offer everything from Amazon Workspaces to Zen Desktop (A to Z) and everything in between. However we have found in our travels that certain remote protocols and architecture deployments can be better at different use cases. lets explore this a little.

 - NHS 

The vast Majority of our NHS customers prefer to use VMware Horizon View. Horizon View tends to lend itself better to organisations that have already heavily invested in VMware products such as Workspace One, VMware vCenter and ESXi for their existing Virtual Machine Infrastructure estate. Investing in Horizon View allows the organisation the ability to utilise the following benefits:

- Medical App Integration

We have a plethora of experience in working with Clinical applications, whether that be 8 or 16 bit apps. We go to great depths in packaging applications deemed "not compatible with Windows 10 or RDS(H) Services" and lean on packages tools such as VMware Thinapp, Microsoft App V or VMware App Volumes to provide access to the hospitals workforce.

- Profile Management

MITIS Health has a wide array of experience with user profiles and the art of profile management within a VDI environment. Whether this be Microsoft Roaming Profiles, Ivanti, VMware DEM, RES Workspace or Simple Mandatory Profiles with Folder Redirection. We are able to work with Local IT to provide the best desktop experience whilst aligning to trust standards.

 - Nvidia vGPU integration for high graphical demand Virtual Desktops. 

VMware have created their own high performance display protocol called VMware Blast Extreme. This protocol was designed from the ground up in partnership with Nvidia thus giving way to one of the best vGPU driven display protocols out on the market. (And its perfect for Teleradiology and Home Reporting).  VMware Blast Extreme utilises the vGPU ability to speed up frame rates, reduce screen tearing and improve pixel fidelity whilst constantly adapting varying latency and ever changing bandwidth constraints. This Protocol is capable of running both TCP and UDP data streams, projects 8-bit grey scale (soon to be 10 bit)  and provides both H.254 & H.265 Codec offloading whilst being able to run on a wide range of endpoint devices.

- Ability to manage & Integrate VMware Workspace One 

Single Sign On and full integration capabilities with VMware’s Mobile Device Management solutions. 

- Licencing Models

Ability to purchase both Concurrent and Named User Licensing Models.

VMware's Per User licencing model Includes vSphere vCenter and ESXi Licencing.

- Identity Management Multi Factor Authentication

Ability to utilise VMware Identity Manager to provide SAML and RADIUS Auth to any 3rd party Identity Providers such as Microsoft Office 365, Okta and Google Authentication Services.
